Tommy More International Formal Dinner
*WOOTS* to Tommy More IFD!
Yesterday was my last formal dinner in Tommy More, and in Perth! How sad it is :(
Had a rather good time yesterday, though not the best because of certain problems....
1) My camera is spoilt!!! I can't even take pictures as and when I like...
2) Estee and Estella are rather quite and non-party/ mixing around kind of people, and so they din't really talk much or walk around, which makes the dinner quite boring. Though it is none of their fault, but I still feel restricted about it coz I'm the kind that 'follows' the crowd. So I didn't dare to take Estee's camera and start table visiting/ photo taking + taking someone else's camera as and when you like isn't that good either coz its not your stuff. Well I guess, that's my bad point... I need to have courage to do whatever things that I want to do, and not be so conscious about blanding into the group/ crowd and be held back by that.
3) I have a phobia of talking/chatting when I'm not that close to people, and yesterday, I was sitting Caleb, Jeremy, Meng Hwee, Lincoln and Xian Hui!!! I feel totally awkward, and I don't know what to talk to them! (Social Phobia? probably...)
4) Apparently Sheen's table didn't really welcomed me when I went to their table for a chat. They totally ignored me, and Sheen didn't even want to take photo with me until I asked to. Instead the moment I set there, she asked me to take photos of her and Gerard, leon etc. (but not with me). How depressing it is... to know that you're actually not wanted. Even the rest of the people in tommy more at least responded to me and takes photos with me!
5) An even more depressing problem was the attitude of gerard towards me. He didn't even want to take a photo with me!He just brushed me aside and starts talking to someone else. It took me a lot of courage to finally make the decision to approach him and ask if he wants to take photo, and he did that to me! Don't blame me for ignoring you Gerard. It's because you're treating me the same way, and I've got a feeling that you actually despise me, but because of Sheen, you didn't say hurtful stuff to me.
6) Dinner sucks to the core...it's only the kebab that was nice. The main course was some dry chicken dish and the dessert was a plain cinnamon cake. Wish they had serve food like the welcome dinner we had in the beginning. BUT fortunately, they provided us with wines and beers. The Corona beer was so much better than Tiger beer, Carlsberg etc. and I managed to finish 1 bottle without puking or even having the feeling of puking! One great achievement I made in Australia - to up my alcohol intake! haha...
Though it was a little bit too late, I still managed to 'loosen' up a bit at the end and had fun taking pictures with my Tommy more friends for remembrance! Lincoln's band was a fantastic ending to the dinner. He sang great songs which rock the college up! He's my idol right now! * three cheers and three cheers to Lincoln*
Thanks to those who commented on my dressing :) This is the first time I'm wearing a tube dress, and it made me feel sort of weird in the beginning.

Iron Man 2
Spent 3 days doing a 1000 conservation bio essay, and 1.5 days stuying for pharmaco quiz. That's how 'exciting' my week went by after our 2 days 1 night mad rush roadtrip to albany.
Though there are more essays, reports and quizes to come-by, I've decided to give myself a little rest for the day and treat myself to a cinema movie - Iron Man 2!

It was an awesome movie, with Robert Downey Jr. as iron man. Lots of action and laughter throughout the show. I would say it is worth watching it in cinema.
I find that Tony Stark is like a classic rich child brat, who needs something really bad to happen to wake him up from his self-centred egoistic mind. In the first movie, he has to be kidnapped by the rebels before he realise that his weapons aren't use just for keeping world peace. In this 2nd movie, he needs someone all the way from Russia to whip him up from his arrogant self and to realise that his dad cares for him afterall. If it wasn't for his arrogance, Justin Hammer (his rival in weapons industry) wouldn't have helped Ivan Vankov (Russian man) escape from prison, work in Hammer's company to recreate Vankov's own whip-like elctrical energy that runs on the arch reactor, and try to kill Tony with it. Of course, in the end Tony's sitll a hero who saves everyone's life from all those computerized robots and from Vankov, and in addition gets his women, the secretary and CEO of Stark's industry - Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow).
