woah!!

Tot that working would be more relax than studying in school.. but guess the adults were right. working is never better than studying...

Had to report to ms nancy yong in the pharmacy office.... tot it needs to take 2+ hours to reach there.. but it just took ard 1 hr 15 min only.. so had to sit at the stuff canteen next to the office to wait.. the stuff working in the office weren't even there, it was pitch dark in the office.....

Finally after waiting for 1+ hour.. ms nancy came....and she briefed me on wat i'll be doing for the next 5 mths.....

The time schedule is as follows: first 1 mth in kent ridge wing 2 retail pharmacy 2, 2nd mth in main building pharmacy1, and the last 3 mths in specialist centre....

i'll get a mere pay of $420....

had to wait for 1/2 hr for the boss of the pharmacy (pharmacy manager) --mr wu tuck seng... big boss mah.. must give way lor.. had to wait on him... after that he gave me a brief intro on the hospital's mission, vision..blahblahblah... wah so pai seh man! he keep asking me questions.. and i practically forget most of my poly stuff already...he damn siong leh!

After his intro., had a stuff at the office to bring me to the HR, thru all the short cuts in the underground... wah so complicated.. can't even remember it. The HR office is combined with the finance office... the area was a total mess.. no proper layout of the office. it's like one patch here, one patch there.. dun even know how to walk thru the maze to the HR to sign indemity form and collect my stuff card and to the finance to settle my pay... Again.. there's a problem with the finance....the ppl incharge of me keeps pushing the duty of my payment to each other.. so in the end i still dunno who's going to settle it... but anw they just ask me to fill up a form and staple my photocopy of my passbk and i/c and leave it to their boss who was not there that day.

Finally reached Retail pharmacy 2 at 11.30am... It was quite busy at that time.. so the supervisor, mr ridzuan, just ask me to sit at a corner and read their SOP for packing and dispensing.

The pharmacy is incharge of dispensing drugs to 8 diff. departments.. but that's too many for me to remember... so think i can't write it down now.

How is it displayed..they displayed in in alphabetical orders. and there's the fast moving sections where the PT ppl will be able to get hold of the drug imm.... those fast moving sections will be the cardiovascular, the neurotic( for mad patients), the analgesics, Ear, nose, and throat, eyes. There's also a section specially for creams, liquid preperations, pessaries and anus stuff and the OTC.

Was taught how to use their counting tablet machine and that we should not stick the label onto the OTC products, so that if patient doesn't wan to buy it, it still can be put outside for sales.

Abit blur today.. din know wat to do... kind of pack the wrong dose of drugs for quite a number of drugs...lucky today 1st day... so no scolding...

The people in R2 are quite friendly, kind of instantly make friends with them esp with the 3 temp stuff.. while it takes quite sometime to make friend with the perm stuff as they were stricter and more serious.... no need to be lonely.. but wat it's only a month...and then i'll have to be transferred to R1.

Job scope for this first week: Read prescription, pack prescriptions with 1/2 drugs, learn how to ans phone calls which i'm terrible at it..(will try to avoid it if i could)...and...there's more..but i just can't remember...However..due to the new sys they adopted.. i was not allowed to type the prescriptions, if any errors occur i'll have to inform them to retype it. I was also not allowed to touch the cytotoxic stuff as it needs special precautions.

2nd day in IPOH

It is just so great to get away from all the stress that i've build up for the past half a year.... finally get to go over the sea and relax without worrying about anything... get to eat, watch TV, and sleep... Oh no.... i'm getting fatter by the minute.

Went to lunch at the two adjoining shops at old street. Unfortunately the better half of the shop was closed.. and i din get to eat my ipoh sa hor fun and custard egg. However i did get to taste the asam laksa, kangong with cuttlefish, deliciously fat popiah and the not so good ipoh hor fun. Although it was not as good as last time, but at least i get to taste it, which i never did in singapore...yum..yum...

Went shopping at ipoh parade and jaya jusco, but end up buying nothing as there was no sale during this time of the year except for malay stuff as hari raya is coming near.

Had Pig organ porridge for dinner...this is another delicacy i can never find in singapore.. Basically it is kway chap.. just that the organs ( such as pig's tongue, intestine) are deep fried.. they are so crispy...yum yum.. and they are deep into the porridge.

Grandpa wanted to buy another bowl of porridge at another shop for supper, it was said to be better than the shop that we ate our pig porridge.. however due to the 9th god celebration, the shop was closed... no wonder the shope that we went for lunch was closed.

Enjoying my very last trip to malaysia before going to SIP ;(

Hai.. wat a rush back to malaysia this time, but it's a must as i won't be able to go back for another 6 stressful months of doing my attachment.

This was my first time taking bus back to IPOH in the night.. and it's a real nice trip. It's even better than taking the train. Sri Maju, was the bus company that my family took. Water and blanket was provided, the seat can be put to inclining mode( sort of 10 degree inclining.. almost to sleeping position).. there was even a leg rest provided. Unfortunately, the air con was too cold. I was shivering even though i have put on my jacket and cover myself up with the blanket they had provided. No toilet was provided in the bus- so.. there's no smelly bus, but the bus stops at certain places to allow us to relieve ourselves, but it is advisable that you do not drink so much water coz it depends on how far and how long the bus driver wants to stay... so you might want to pee at the wrong time when you drink too much water.

Reached IPOH at 5am.. wah.. early in the morning with nobody around... lucky for this company, they had a station in IPOH, so we waited in the shelter for grandpa to fatch us. There ain't much to do at 5am... so we end up sleeping.. till 8am..muahahaa... suppose to wake up at 7am to go for dim sum.. but who knows... everyone was a sleepy head, and we end up waking at 8.

Went for dim sum at 'lai how fook'.... ahhh~!!!!.. the best dim sum i've ever eaten.....juz dun understand why singapore doesn't provide dim sum that nice... prob it doesn't suite the singaporean taste. Had my must have dim sums( siew mai, har gao, chee cheong fun- with soya sauce type of gravy and there's either prawn or char siew inside, big fish balls with chilli inside). Of course there are more newer dim sums provided, but i forgot what are they... the taste of it still lingers in my mouth. The dim sums were cheap too.. a total of 25RM was spent on dim sum for 5 people--> 5RM per person.. wah... convert to sing dollars, its $2.50... check out the prices man!!! each dish were around 1.50RM.. take it for eg.. the siew mai.. it's 1.50 for 4...

Went on official business in the afternoon.... after that went to the nearest shopping complex called 'the store' to walk around.. bought a wroking pants.. found out that i am not suitable to wearing skirts.. look like aunty, no matter how short or long the skirt is....:( --> i'm born to be a tom boy..haha...

Went to '_sri maju' coffee shop for beef organs noodle for dinner.. it's unlike those that are sold in singapore.. juz dunno how to explain it on the net..but i juz love it....too bad there were to many flies there, other wise i would be staying there, slowly eating and tasting the food.

i do look forward to the next day.. haha... what am i going to eat tml???

Ahh~~!!!!i know my attachment area le

HELP!!!!
aHHHH~!!! I need to get up early in the morning at 5.30am to report to work!!! Wat the.... tot i could have nice, beautiful sleep with lots of time at home to relax after work...BUT...the briefing really gives me shivers to what i'm going to do...

Posted to NUH to work. Why wouldn't they give me changi hospital??? My tiny, winy bit of money for attachment will be gone in just a blink for my transportation fee...

David tried to cheer me up by saying crapy things like....'at least you get to find a handsome guy there, then ask him to drive you to work'..haha...... i'm not that desperate to look for a guy, pal! Well he's looking forward to work in raffles medical hospital...= get to look for rich tai tai le.

Heard that their expectations for me will be very high in NUH...Oh NO~!!! pressure is coming down on me. I wonder how i'm going to survive there... dunno whether i'm fit to be there anot.. could be very blur at times... hope not...hope nobody will scold me..haha...

Now i realise how tough it is be on SIP.. Used to think that you just need to go there and work..but seems that i'm wrong. Got to do log book, which has to be checked by the supervisor, do sip report, furthermore, do prescription report, where we have to photostat prescriptions and then write what are the drug's indication blah blah blah...

To add on to my burden, we have to do FYP together with it..Ahhh~!! I'm way too stressed!!!!! got to do OT too.. just to do my FYP/ SIP report. Don't even know if i have any day off anot??? Prob got to do 7days/ week job.... Prob dun even have any public holiday too..

We are not allowed to take any leave during our 20 weeks attachment..wat the hack!!!no rest???

who's my supervisor?? no idea??? too complicated to understand.. got to report to plenty of people before i start my work.. further more.. i won't be stationing at one pharmacy area but every week it keeps changing... which means i'll have plenty of supervisor from different departments by the end of my attachment.

I'm too worried about this.. how am i suppose to enjoy in malaysia??? will be worrying about this the whole time...

I'll be back from malaysia on friday morning.. so pals.. if you wan't any gathering.. do it on friday or so? thnks

Exams finally finish!!

Yipee!!!Exams are over.....finally i can get a good rest without worrying about exams anymore for the next few years...this feels good......ahh...

After 4 days of studying DPP..it finally paid off...the paper was considered easy compared to the rest of my papers.....It cost me hell lot of time to memorize so many diseases and treatments and yet only that few from our projects came out..shouldn't have wasted my time to learn the rest.
********************************************
Spent the whole afternoon shaping up my blog...figure out that its no point changing the blog to the one that i want since i've spent so much time in finding this skin and changing some of it's things during my study week..it would be a waste of my time to change it again...i'll wait till i get bored with this skin then i'll change it....wanted to stick with my old twinkle twinkle little stars skin, however the link has been cut off.. so end up no pic..so got to find a new one for it.... changed the colour of the wordings....so palss...what do you think of the colours?? ugly ??? incompatible with the black backgroud?

Wanted to add more stuff to it..but by figuring what letter stands for what colour and finding which area to change has already cost me half a day.. so prob do it anther day.....The blog is always under construction... it will never satisfy me..;

*********************************************

Hmm... some people are really hypocrites! They would always shun away from you, put on a black face, and dispise you when they think that you are not worthy to them or are stupid...However once they know that you can do better than what they had expected, they would immediately change their facial expression and treatment on you.
